House Music 2016

This year’s House Music competition was the usual mix of musical enthusiasm and fierce competition, with every pupil in the school involved in some way representing their House.  Taking place in the Music School, all houses performed a House Song, a Classical and a Contemporary piece.  The whole event was streamed live on YouTube for parents to watch from home - many thanks to current pupils Anthony Ford-Marsland and Robert Way for masterminding this so expertly.

It was a difficult task to choose winners from the many excellent and varied performances, however the congratulations go to Lancaster for winning the Classical section with a performance of Tchaikovsky's Tango from Nutcracker Surprise; to Marriotts for taking first place in the Contemporary section with a 'Stereotypical Marriotts House Contemporary' performance; and to de Lacy, winners of the House Song with their version of a Timber/Counting Stars mash up.  Overall winners of the event were de Lacy.

Thank you also to all the Music staff for organising another memorable House Music competition.
