Canford is a co-educational boarding school for boys and girls aged 13-18 years.
Currently there are 635 pupils in the school. 70% of these board, and 60% of pupils are boys.
The school is set in over 250 acres of grounds on the banks of the River Stour. Rowing is available from the school boathouse just minutes from the main campus.
Facilities include a theatre seating 294, Music School and Art Gallery space. Sports facilities are impressive, including a sports centre with 25m pool, Astros, a 9 hole golf course and Real Tennis.
Canford is run as a full boarding school. There is no weekly boarding. Day pupils benefit from the range of activities a boarding school offers. A full programme of weekend activities is on offer.
There are 10 houses at Canford, 4 for boarding boys, 3 for boarding girls and 3 mixed day houses.
A network of transport routes including exeat coach services is available.
Canford has a fine reputation for excellence in academic results, which are currently the best in the county, and arguably in the region. IGCSEs, GCSEs, A level and Pre-U qualifications are taught.
Beyond the classroom there is a wide range of co-curricular opportunities. Breadth is an essential feature of life at Canford.
